The English coverage by even well-resourced outlets like CNN, CBC, and the BBC have almost no information beyond the police press release, which is lazy and stupid, because it is possible to figure out everything that happened here with three seconds of clicking around the internet. The Associated Press wrote that the entire phenomenon is "new territory" for the police, which, I'm sorry to say, men using tech to harass women on livestreams in 2026 is not "unusual" or "new territory" and hasn't been for many years.

I have never, EVER worked for an outlet that treated interviews this way morally and ethically, this is reprehensible for USA Today to do practically, the only logical conclusion any potential source or expert can come to is that they should never speak to USA Today about anything

I've probably posted about it before, but there's a sandwich at a long defunct restaurant in my hometown that had blackened chicken, pepper jack, arugula, alfalfa sprouts, and red pepper mayo. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Honestly, I think my mom *has* to be allergic to nightshades, because *bell peppers* can be spicy to her. I'm allergic to onions. I never LIKED them, and I always thought they tasted weirdly spicy in the way that people feel cilantro does, but I'm not sure if that's just how onions taste.

I had a couple cool costumes. But the one that was THE COOLEST to me was the Victorian ghost I dressed up as at 12. I thought it was so cool that I reprised it in 2023. The 12-year-old version was different, but I found the skeleton chest piece in 2023, and knew I HAD to re-do it.

Man, that period of time between the start of college and graduating college where printing off Mapquest directions was THE THING. My parents had a Garmin and they got me one ~2009 that I used until Maps/Waze were good enough. (2012 or 2013ish?) Having to download new maps via USB cord was weird.

I have a dresser from the 1940s! That's the only thing I can think of that's particularly old in my house. My parents have some of my grandparents' stuff that's technically mine, but when your condo is the size of a postage stamp, you have to be choosy about what's in it.
