So many things wrong with this "deal," but also: it's not a "massive" amount. If we actually receive 1,800,000 tons of diesel from Russia, that's equivalent to: * 3.3 days of US consumption, or * 10 days of US *exports*. It's a drop in the bucket. We send more than that overseas every two weeks.

Social media companies need to be explicitly pressured into not allowing any images of the execution on their services. They have the content recognition systems to block it. If they allow it, it's an abdication of any responsibility to their users. There will be children that see it.

Correct. He’s been in politics over a decade and he doesn’t actually know what health insurance is or how it works. And that’s the very best way to understand how little he cares about it, America, or Americans. He’d rather golf for 40%+ of his presidency than even get briefed once on healthcare.

No single survey is a definitive benchmark for sexual identity. Among adults these estimates vary considerably from survey to survey. This is one wave with a response rate of about 31%. There is a change that deserves study, but “free fall” does not describe it.

Among 9th graders, bisexual identification fell from 11.0% to 6.9% between 2023 and 2025. That is where it was in 2019 (7.0%). No other grade had a significant change.

I reanalyzed the CDC data behind the LGB “free fall” headline. It rests on a change in bisexual identification among one grade, in one wave, of one survey. Gay or lesbian identification did not change significantly. Calling it a "free fall" is sensational and just gives bad actors talking points.
Six small line charts showing the percent of U.S. high school students choosing each sexual identity response option by grade (9th to 12th), 2015 to 2025, with 95% confidence intervals. Heterosexual falls from about 85 to 90 percent before 2021 to about 73 percent in 2021 and 2023, then rises to about 78 to 80 percent in 2025. Gay or lesbian stays between about 2 and 5 percent throughout. Bisexual rises to about 12 percent in 2021 in every grade, then among 9th graders falls to about 7 percent in 2025, its 2019 level, while other grades stay near 10 percent. “Some other way,” added in 2021, falls from about 4 percent to about 2.5 percent. “Not sure” stays near 3 to 5 percent. A dotted line marks 2021, when CDC changed the response options.
