The pressure within media to do awful things to get ahead, impress the person you want to end up like, or copy what you see others doing is considerable. It becomes normal and acceptable when celebrated and rewarded. And it's utterly toxic and hugely damaging. This is so upsetting to read.

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

Similar experience.. trial had lots of reading - 1 juror was illiterate, 1 juror coughed his way through the evidence so doubt he heard any of it, others used info we were told to ignore & the rest saw a black man & “knew” he guilt 😳. I would rather have a judge & 2 experts decide my fate.
