So it now turns out the police are investigating at least £500,000 worth of donations made to Reform UK by the mother of a convicted fraudster who paid for Nigel Farage's social media staff and security. Party of the people.

Reform are already saying there was a swing towards them last night. Not true. Swing measures the change between the top two parties. This was a swing of 3.5% from Reform to Labour, not a swing from Labour to Reform. So Reform went from losing by 13.4% to losing by 20% to Labour

Labour related news not platformed by the media in the last two weeks… - Channel crossings down - NHS waiting lists down - Inflation numbers better than expected Why are some anti acknowledging when the government does deliver?

The ironic thing is that all the commentators hailing Vance as the UK’s saviour have neglected to say how despite rising immigration in previous years, crime levels dropped. Yet another lie from JD.

So the latest Trump masterplan may be to go to war with Cuba, to distract from his disastrous war on Iran, which was done to distract attention from his war on Venezuela, which was done to distract attention from the Epstein files. Keeping up?

Burnham has donated 15% of his salary every year since becoming Greater Manchester Mayor. Farage took a £5 million gift and regularly talks the UK down when he goes to the US to suck up to Trump. Who do you think would serve the country better?

Now that it's a question of when rather than if Keir Starmer steps down, it seems his legacy will divide opinion for years.
One part of it that will become clearer with time is that he inherited one of the most politically and economically damaged versions of modern Britain any prime minister has faced.

Why are the media so uninterested in Ben Habib allegation that Farage and Johnson were each handed £1m by Christopher Harborne to fix an election. It at least merits further investigation and scrutiny Imagine the resources they'd invest if it was a pair of glasses for Starmer

Damian Low @damianlow3.bsky.social · 12/05/2026
May = 3 years Johnson = 3 years and 2 months Truss = 7 weeks Sunak = 1 year and 9 months If Starmer goes = 1 year and 10 months That's a PM every two years. It's not sustainable and it makes progress less likely, not more.
2216
Damian Low @damianlow3.bsky.social · 11/05/2026
If Labour think changing PM will help, it won’t. The media will hound and hate whoever takes Starmer’s place just as much. For some reason, they have a desperate desire to see Farage become PM. They are not acting in the national interest.

The Oakeshott's and Mail's of the world will hate it, but Starmer pledging stronger ties with the EU was the best part of his speech. Brexit has done irreparable economic damage. Why are so many commentators desperate to champion something that reduced our economic standing?

Trump’s biggest political weakness is that everything is binary. It’s win or lose That’s ok when you’re fighting an election, but the art of government requires much more nuance, intelligence and compromise Trump lacks all of these which is why the world is in its current state

The JD effect. A new poll in Hungary has found that JD Vance's visit to Budapest to cheerlead for Viktor Orbán has seen his party lose 3% of its support.

Remember whenever Farage, Badenoch or Jenrick talk about rising petrol prices, it is a direct result of a war they supported and their desperation to see who could cheerlead for Trump the loudest.

Today will show if Trump always TACO’s The world should hope he does. If he does blow up Iran’s power stations, Iran will attempt to take out the energy infratstructure of their Gulf neighbours Result - global economy collapses and likelihood of a nuclear strike increases

One of the most revealing things about politics is how moments of stress expose underlying truths about leadership, alliances and political culture.
This week had several of those moments.

Something odd has happened on parts of the British right.
A movement that once wrapped itself in the language of patriotism increasingly prefers defending Donald Trump over defending Britain.

There’s a striking irony in some of the criticism aimed at Keir Starmer over Iran.
The same commentators who spent two decades condemning Britain’s rush into the Iraq War are now criticising him for not immediately lining up behind Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu.

Did I miss the part of the #bbclaurak interview yesterday where Johnson was interrogated about his potential role in Bannon’s plot to overthrow Theresa May. Potentially plotting with foreign actors to overthrow the prime minister of your own country is a very serious matter.
