Michael Russo, a 51-year-old Texas voter who is not registered with either party, described the state of the country under Republican control as "a nightmare."

Does he want Republicans to maintain control of Congress? "No, I want them in prison — several of them," he said. But he's not thrilled with the Democratic Party, either.

"I'm not confident they're going to do anything if they get into power," Russo said.

My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who prevented a tragedy, but we must all come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.
