Wes Streeting accuses Russia of aggression and imperialism. Now do the United States. Illegally kidnapping the head of state of Venezuela. Launching an illegal war on Iran. Escalating an illegal blockade of Cuba. And what are we doing? Helping them!

One might ask these defenders of women and girls what exactly happens when you concede one femme-coded subgroup is completely excluded from the usual social sanctions against violence and abusive behaviour? Is it "every other femme-coded group gets much safer"?

Left policies are very popular. One day a party will muster the willpower to push through the inevitable wall of establishment media smears and we'll finally feel the sunshine.

Not for the first time, I’d ask: what does it mean, if the press keep running campaigns claiming that country’s most horrific racists and bigots are the Green Party, the Labour left, Amnesty International, Stonewall, the police (I know) and Gary Lineker? Look around you. Does that feel right?
CAMILLA LONG
Jew-baiting Greens haven't peaked: they're just getting startedIt's strange having a fully fledged, fully funded racist party in our political line-up. It does not comfort me that in Holborn & St Pancras the Greens "only" got nearly 9,000 votes. If the British National Party, another party defined by a racist lie, had won that many votes in any constituency, there would be pandemonium. There would be riots. There wouldn't be amused, jocular analyses in all the main papers. Its leader wouldn't be ushered on to the Today programme as a senior statesman for a light dressing-down by Nick Robinson.
He wouldn't be allowed to repeat propaganda as Polanski did (he sounded as if he was reading lines from a piece of paper). He wouldn't be greeted with a comical, indulgent shrug.
And if I were a Jew in Holborn, or anywhere, watching this, what would I now be thinking? I would be thinking: I now know precisely how many of my fellow constituents want to kill me. Is anyone doing anything to protect me from them?
Just look at the recent hate crime statistics. Jews are now almost ten times more likely than Muslims to be the targets of a religious hate crime. So no one is stopping it. No one is even touching it. This is an unacceptable place for politics to have reached.

It's clear as day, when Labour or the Greens move left, their share rises. As they move right, their share drops. The people are as desperate for left-wing representation as the establishment is for them not to have it.

I hate to RT an RT but this really is the situation: the maximum permissible position is the Lib Dem one, in which they agree this is genocide but seem to think nobody should do anything about it. That is the extreme outer limit of possibility in Britain, for our political/media class.

The thing is, the press really will get rid of Polanski eventually, just by all screaming in unison until everyone gets sick of it and just wants the hate and bullshit to end. They are exercising their veto and they know they only need to stick at it until it finally works.

All the breathless "Is it over for Zack Polanski??" stuff this morning feels like wishcasting to me. Two thirds of the membership joined under this leadership, removing him would take a super majority on the party council, and also the result was... fine? He's going nowhere. 1/5

Buses are the most-used form of public transport in England. They were deregulated under Thatcher in 1986, & we've been paying the price ever since., Bus fares have risen over 500% since 1987. Since 2009-10 we've lost 3,300 routes. We need more than public control of buses, we need ownership.
Graphic that highlights four models of bus ownership in the UK from full privatisation to the Manchester model where buses are privately owned but the market is regulated, to the Reading model where the buses are publicly owned but the market is deregulated, and lastly to We Own It's proposed model where the buses are publicly owned and the market is regulated

🚨BREAKING: The government's own statistics show there was a *record level of terrorism arrests* in the year leading up to June this year. The vast majority of the enormous increase in terrorism arrests are of grandparents, teenagers and everyone in between for peacefully holding placards.
NEW: Home Office stats released today reveal that arrests for “terrorist-related activity” in the year ending June 2026 were up 1,553% on last year and 94% of the arrests (3,630 of 3,867) were linked to showing support for Palestine Action.

LET THEM GO BUST ! Last year, Thames Water took out a £3bn loan - at 9.75% interest. And now they want another £2.4bn to keep going?! ENOUGH. If water companies can't survive without rip-off loans, they should be declared insolvent and brought into public hands through special administration.

Jury Equity Centuries ago, this legal principle enshrined in law the absolute right of jurors to acquit (find not-guilty) a defendant according to their conscience. It’s proudly carved in stone inside the Old Bailey. Yet judges are lying to jurors about this right. Why? 1/2
A row of peaceful sign-holders sits in the rain, opposite the Old Bailey Central Criminal Court in London. Their signs display the words “jurors have an absolute right to acquit a defendant according to their conscience” - words that replicate a 1670AD stone plaque inside the Old Bailey referencing the legal rights of jurors following the trial of two Quakers and subsequent implementation of the legal principle known as “jury equity”.As traffic passes by, a lone man sits in the rain, opposite the Old Bailey Central Criminal Court in London. His sign also displays the words “jurors have an absolute right to acquit a defendant according to their conscience”
