That’s a great example of what offside review was not supposed to solve. Bolduc was never part of the play.

Hopefully this powerplay they actually try putting the puck on the net instead of hoping passing the puck enough counts as a goal

Are you kidding me lololol Oh man, okay, that was goaltender interference. lolol However, set a standard man. I've seen goalies mauled that it wasn't called. This was the lightest of taps. This league just totally goes by vibe.

As pissed as I am about Matheson's play early, the "oh if Xhekaj or Struble did that, they'd be benched forever" argument will never not be stupid. If either of those two were playing Matheson's minutes on a regular basis, the team would be losing by three or more every night.

I think this type of play was what people were hoping to see from Dach, Bolduc, and Texier. Montembeault is playing like his NHL career is on the line. The bubble forwards have at best been ok while Florian Xhekaj is killing it so far. There's someone gunning for their spot and they are just ok

Huge night for Reinbacher. He gets a spot beside Lane Hutson against the Senators. Reinbacher was strong first game Saturday. They’d love if he were ready. He just needs to be steady, know his role, be safe, allow Hutson to Hutson.

As the team gets better, the bar gets higher. He's still a bottom pairing D but there's more competition and more urgency. I'm not saying he doesn't bring other useful things to the table, but there are other ways to get that as well. He has improved, how much more is there?

There has never been a bigger gap between fan appreciation for a player and role to the team as Arber Xhekaj is becoming. Xhekaj was a perfectly fine bottom pairing defender when the team was rebuilding (and genuinely one of the organization's best stories, possibly ever) (1/2)

As dumb as Larkin's 3 team list is Hellebuyck's is even dumber in two separate ways. First is that it includes Tampa who has a Vezina goalie but with a track record of playing well in the playoffs. Second is that in 1 year his contract requires a 10 team list so why not just wait him out?

Requesting a trade and then giving a 3 team list of who he'd accept a trade to is dumb in and of itself but the fact that all 3 teams are teams that'd need to give up significant present pieces to fit him is a whole other level of nerve. I hope Yzerman doesn't just take an offer just to move him
