The people who are arguing that bookstores can just take the place of public and school libraries have never seen the children's section. The reason there is a 40-50 book limit for most patrons is kids books. The sheer volume that kids read through is beyond most adults' understanding.

This comment honestly made my day. Indie dev can be a lonely thing, but knowing your work can have a positive effect on people makes it all worth it.

Please allow me to say that your game is great, and thank you for making it!
I played it during a difficult time in my life, looking for some escapism in the form of the point-and-click adventure games I loved as a kid. A Golden Wake was exactly the bit of comfort I needed, so I'll always remember it fondly. It gives me a warm feeling of nostalgia whenever I see it in my Steam library, sitting alongside other classics of the genre and reminding me that I'm in a better place now.
Beyond that, the game itself is a true gem. As someone who considers a strong sense of place one of the most important parts of any story, you did a masterful job. I'm not from Florida, but I could feel its history and character, from the charm to the excess, coming through at every turn.
l've always wanted to make a game of my own but have never found the courage. I'd be incredibly proud to have created something so well made and full of heart. Thank you for sharing it with the world!

having finished the book i can officially say this is absolutely fucking insane and worth the read for anybody interested in ttrpg design if only for the fractal traits table which roughly once or twice a page had me going "wait, can they do that??"

METHOD: You are your FIST character. As long as you have this trait and are playing FIST, you can only answer to their name, codename, and pronouns. You must strategize and riff at the table in character, and if you would enjoy the following mechanic, you are required to feel real pain when you take damage (perhaps via snapped rubber band or a slug-bug punch from a friend. If you're meeting all the aforementioned requirements, you (the FIST character) cannot die-you can only be kicked out of the game world temporarily, and may return with 1 HP during moments of peace. The table may unilaterally revoke this trait at any time, ending your method acting career.
