I tend to prefix everything with paleo- in tbe vein of "Paleoart". So Paleomedia, Paleofiction. However, in my case of Banjo&Swift I didn't specify paleontology, opting instead for "documentary fiction", as capturing the style felt more important than the subject matter in that instance

Now out in the UK, I got to watch The Count of Monte Cristo in Paris earlier this year. A truly exceptional film, adapting this literary opus is a uniquely ambitious challenge, yet the filmmakers do so impeccably. It's a rich and nuanced story, with phenomenal performances. Highly recommend.

Oh lovely! If there's ever any ideas you want to bash out, or there's a need for someone or some advice in post, let me know, I'd love to see where you take things and help out wherever I can

There are no truer words. As an artform, filmmaking really demands so much time, money, and energy, not just of yourself, but of others. I saw someone say engineering is the only artform that compares in what it asks of you. But when it connects with an audience? There is nothing like it.

Do you have any plans to pursue it in a longer form projected?

Anora was brilliant. It"s a fantastic comedy drama that builds exceptionally. And then there's 'the scene that wins you the Palme d'Or'. Very good watch, I can see why it did well, and I'm curious to see how it will do in the upcoming Academy Awards race.

Just watched The Wild Robot, absolutely wonderful film. Highly recommend you to take the chance, if you can, to watch it while it is still in cinemas.

Poster of The Wild Robot, with the Robot holding a baby goose, with a forest, mountains, and clear blue sky in the background. Text on the poster describes it as The Best Animated Movie of the Year. A subtitle states it is in cinemas now.

As I chat away on here with people about their middle-aged Friday nights I'm increasingly furious over how obviously Twitter was strangling my feed. This ACTUALLY works as a social media platform. X was just bots, ads and fury. There are PEOPLE here.

Okay Bluesky friends, I need to be serious with you for a second. There’s going to come a day, probably soon, when someone is going to arrive on this platform and post a picture of a guy with a bunch of swords pointed at him. When that day comes we have to work together and tell them to fuck off

What happens when a mastodon in musth meets a black bear? #paleoart

Page one of “The Confrontation”, in which a black bear happily chewing on blueberries unintentionally attracts the attention of a hormonal male mastodon. The mastodon drives the bear up a tree and begins to eat from the bush.

The bear unwittingly cracks a branch in the second page, enraging the mastodon, which attempts to knock the bear from the tree.

So after reading that "Baru" huberi was *much* smaller than Baru wickeni (or just Baru proper in general) I was curious to see how much Well the image on the right is the "Baru" huberi holotype, which preserves about up to the eyes. The size difference is IMMENSE

If you're ever feeling down about not being able to get things off the ground, just remind yourself that 3 films and a decade later, Universal is STILL trying to make the Dark Universe
