📚✨ New paper alert: How are we doing on turning nature into a source of calculable risk? We take a critical look at how 1990s risk models and environmental science enable riskification, and study very new regulatory strategies that go beyond it. #openaccess: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

Graphic is the "always has been" meme with two astronauts looking at Earth.

The failure of euro internationalizing is baffling. We show that the euro is used in just 31% of FX transactions—barely more than the D-mark before the euro launched. Even European firms often prefer to trade in dollars.

Debates seem to focus on MDBs' role for transition and dev finance, but the potential of national dev banks should not be underestimated: MDB assets = 2% of G20's GDP, while assets of G20 NDBs = 24%. With FiCS coming up, a few avenues worth exploring to unlock NDB finance in IAG's latest release⬇️
