But the issue is that high usage wing players in modern offenses (especially ones taking up 35% of the cap) need to be able to generate offense for players other than themselves from those drives AND not turn the ball over. Unfortunately those two things is way JB is killed by analytics.

I am open the possibility that, along with paying him like a top 10 superstar, JB's strengths as an offensive player are not a good fit for how Cs want to compete moving forward. This in no way diminishes any of his accomplishments in his time with Boston. It is also not a knock on him as a player.

Jaylen saying he is heading into the season with no ego is great for 76ers, he’ll need to be because he’ll be a role player for them. However, I remember the 2019 Celtics and how they talked about sacrifice and not having egos, and that didn’t work out so well. So you won’t know until about Xmas.

Since I see some of my Celtics fans dooming again I’d just like to throw my predictions out there for this season. 1.) Celtics will finish with a top 3 record in the east. 2.) Celtics will finish with more wins than the Sixers 3.) Brad Stevens will once again finish top 3 in exec of the year.
