Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 04/10/2026That 3 and out probably costs the Pats this game. Allen is gonna get it going eventually 100

Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Tatums catch and shoot numbers are elite. Also high level pull up guy. Jaylen is neither of those 100
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Easier to get to the paint when you have an elite screen setter and roller on the court at all times. Can’t switch a guard onto big Mitch or Quetta because it’s either a dunk or an o-reb. Last year was tough because nobody respected Luka or Vuc from 3 esp in the playoffs 100
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 01/10/2026They won’t at all, but 1 of the 2 always will be. 000
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Also teams don’t respect Jaylen as a catch and shoot guy like they’ll have to respect PG as long as he’s healthy 110
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 01/10/2026They didn’t have 2 elite rim running bigs and screen setters. They had two pick and pop guys that nobody really respected. 010
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I think they’re going to lean heavily into high ball screens with 2 elite rim running bigs and lights out catch and shoot guys at every other wing and guard position. Tatum, Derrick, PP great pick and roll + pull up threats. 110
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Agree on Jaylen too, but I think his bad qualities were accentuated worse in the playoffs. Aside from 24, he had some really tough playoff moments. I think he was a guy that coaches were able to exploit easier in a series. But time will tell when it comes to playoff success. 000
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I agree about the regular season stuff when it comes to the off rebounding. Where I think Mitch can help them big time in the playoffs is always having an elite rim defender on the court. 000
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I agree with pressuring opponents inside which is why Mitch is so huge. They have the best off rebounder of all time, and another elite offensive rebounder in Queta. That’s the pressure in the paint, along with 3 really solid pull up 3point shooters. Tough to defend 100
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I thought that maybe Jaylen getting tunnel vision and high jacking the offense with long middies and live ball turnovers wasn’t helping. I also don’t think Paul George is the player they brought in too change how the team plays. I think Mitch Robinson is the player that does that. 110
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Also they only have one other 6’10 guy who does all those things. 100
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026You said another solid wing who mostly just shoots threes. My bad for explaining that he might do a little more than that T 100
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 30/09/2026No but another complimentary wing who is a lights out shooter, doesn’t turn the ball over, and is high level defender and turnover creator. The game is more than just shooting the ball. 100
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Starting the season 1-3 is tough, that why holding on in that Seattle game would have been so important. Thanks Drake 000
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Sucks that it takes the Pats defense making huge plays every week to keep them in games 🤷♂️ 000
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Agree, he’s such a force on both ends when healthy. He was the Knicks best player in the Celtics series two seasons ago and it wasn’t particularly close. He absolutely dominated, we had no shot of getting a defensive rebound when he was on the court. 111
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 20/09/2026My god Drake has just been awful to start the year. 110

Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 07/09/2026To fill out your roster in other ways. Trading for PG and picks and then just letting him play out his contract would not be good, so extending him because he’s a solid player and opening up more cap space is just another option. Solid plan B if you can’t find a trade partner next offseason 🤷♂️ 010
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Because if you don’t trade for PG plus picks you are extending Jaylen at 70m+ a year into his mid 30s. Which I think would be bad. PG gives you optionally which could mean trading him next offseason plus picks for an all-nba guy or potentially extending him at a lower number to open more cap space 100
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Other teams can trade for the all-nba guys too. Takes two to tango. So yes, if they can’t find the right move for PG next offseason then extending him at a lower number would actually make a lot of sense. You could then create cap space to add to this roster through free agency rather than a trade. 000
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Also is paying Jaylen 70mil a year until he’s 37 a good contract? Because that was the other option in this entire scenario. 000
Playoff Tatum @tonysmiles.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Hard disagree, 37 y/o PG at that number is actually a decent deal. 6’10 guy who’s a plus defender, elite 3-point shooter, and a great connector is valuable. Obviously health is the main concern but if he can play 50-55 games you’ll take that. 200
