Malignant Normalcy's best feature (in addition to being very, very pretty) is the duality it presents. Parts are gothic and very traditionally Quake, while others are bright and rounded and almost cheerful. Seeing these vistas as industrial music blasts really captures its vibes.

A greenhouse in the center of a courtyard contains a single giant tree with bright white and blue flowers on it. Around it, vine-covered walls made of stone guard it.

The opening of the level features a bunch of rooftops and castle walls draped in bright green vines. On the castle walls two statues of robed figures look down over the gameplay.

In a different, decaying courtyard withered and gnarled trees and leafless shrubbery twist their way out of the ground as the wall next to the player has broken down exposing its rebar. In the background, stained glass windows glow bright green.

decided i needed to see something cursed and looked up rack mounts for a 2013 Mac Pro

the rack mount adapter, a 4U skeleton framework with two long divots in it

the adapter containing two Mac Pro 2013s, in their cylinder cases. the I/O sections are meant to face towards each other here and I assume they would be strapped to the mount somehow

In other words, Steam doesn't charge the 30% fee on keys, but reviews left by key users don't count towards your review percentages or the recommendation algorithm thresholds (they're still readable by players, though!).

When picking between a key and a direct Steam purchase, the trade-off is whether the developer gets the 30% cut of the money that Steam would take, vs your ability for your Steam review to be counted. In this case, I don't think one additional review would benefit Aseprite more than $3.60 would?

it actually annoys us how often "games as art" focuses entirely on story and not things the design and gameplay itself is doing. Not to say plot can't be an important part of the puzzle, but we think other parts get underappreciated as part of the overall recipe
