According to Twitch and Mojang, none of them are responsible for creating the Cape codes, they apear out of thin air. This is a bit ridiculous no? If you were waiting for a Corrupted Creeper cape code for your Twitch Drop, Mojang will not help you. www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/...

Part of why I don't like the AI-or-bust economy is the constant flopsweat of people on the news who say this HAS to work. Quit making everyone so anxious. Goddamn. If this is the next Google then why are you acting like this? I don't remember being told to buy an iPhone at gunpoint.

Apparently there's a HUGE backup of JAZ drives that were recently put on the Internet Archive. One of them (at least) includes the original Maya 3D models used in the The Iron Giant.

the entire reason the gaming industry is so dogshit right now is the domino effect from "putting aside" lootboxes. "putting aside" any controversy only serves to benefit from the people causing it, this isn't new and we shouldn't "let it slide sometimes"

Was struggling with mapping "Select" onto the N64 controller to play Virtual Boy on Switch, but I figured it out. Couldn't find any tutorial on how to do it, just mentions that you could, so I made this guide for any that might need it. 🟥🟥

How to add “Select” function to N64 controller to play Virtual Boy on Switch.
If you want to use the N64 controller for the Virtual Boy app, you will need to remap "Select". The N64 controller is not natively supported by the Virtual Boy app, and will be shown as a Pro Controller on the controls screen, but all buttons both VB and N64 controllers share will work as intended, both D-pads (VB right D-pad becomes the N64 C buttons), A & B, both shoulder buttons, and "Start", except "Select" which the N64 does not have.
Note: Before anything, set your IPD (interpupillary distance - distance between eyes) using the calibration screen at the start of any game, as you can't adjust it on the N64 pad.
Remapping is very restrictive, you cannot remap unused buttons, so the Z trigger is relegated to only bringing up the overlay, but all games with movement on the left D-pad also have those functions mirrored to the left Analog stick, which is what the app sees the only Analog stick on the N64 as, so we will be remapping all the duplicate Analog directions, meaning any flick of the Analog stick in any direction will register as pressing "Select".
1- Bring up the overlay menu on each game you want to change, and select "View/Change Controls".
2- Select "Change Controls", move to one of the four directions of the left Analog stick, and select it.
3- On the next screen, move to the "Select" button function and pick it, repeat for the rest of the directions and save.
Note: The "Show Other Controls" screens will use the icons for the Analog stick for directional inputs, but rest assured the directions also work with the D-pad.
It is recommended you enter all 8 games that use "Select" to remap them so you don't need to do it again or in case you forget. As of August 23rd 2026, all games have been tested and they are;
- 3D Tetris
- Dragon Hopper
- Golf
- Jack Bros.
- Red Alarm
- The Mansion of Innsmouth
- Vertical Force
- V-Tetris

I still use Wplace for fun, and the current event is quite bad. One team just needs pure destruction so it's winning every match, and they allow you to use any pixels you get not just ones you get with time, so it is very pay to win.

Got myself an N64 controller for Switch, while the NES, SNES and Mega Drive work well enough with the default controller, I got hella nostalgia for the N64 because I used it a lot and like the feel of it, and it's the closest thing we have to a Virtual Boy controller so far.
