another requested one from patrons, a flareon (eeveelutions in general)! I'm honestly always happy to paint more eevelutions! i change up what real animal i reference for these, often bunnies, foxes and cats (depends on my mood that day really) #watercolor #painting #flareon #pokemon #fanart

digital scan of a watercolor painting featuring the pokemon flareon with more cat like features sitting against a window that looks out onto a mountainscape. the flareon is turning slightly to look at the unseen viewer. the whole painting is done in soft yellows, greens and browns to contrast with the bolder oranges of the pokemon

for this recent series, i've been mostly basing them on cats (my other fave painting subject) so doing little cat studies and turning them into eeveelutions basically. This one was fun, it was good to do soft oranges and greens that I don't normally gravitate too and play with how the glass looks.

the white lab/govt scene from ET (where ET is sick and pale and they kidnap him) gave me nightmares for years and is the reason i've only seen it once and do not think of it fondly

keep getting all these ads for "fall clothing" and i'm like babes, it's like 90 degrees in socal atm. fall? i don't know her and i def am not in the mindset to buy your cute autumnal layering sets lol

almost certainly but equally as likely, the belly could be a trap! and those are big claws. but i'm sure some human has absolutely taken that chance

000

side note: i also continue to love allison best of the hosts, she has such a fun persona and good chemistry with noel (they are fun together whereas he and the other guy, matt?? were too much) and she's so cute (she def pushed noel to 2nd but tbh their duo dynamic is also my fave)

DCS 🔞 @darkchibishadow.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

2nd episode, she continues to be the best! i like how she told paul off for assigning "naughty" to food (which is for nourishment and fun! yes!) and also straight up said she could take him in a fight lol (it's a much more active dynamic from her vs prue or mary, i think the show needs it)

CSP being pressed to take even just /kissing/ off their asset store and FA being told that plus sized characters are considered adult should be a giant waving red flag to folks. Sex workers have /always/ been right to say these policies never stop with 1 type of content. They always wanna ban more.

going through my paper stash and doing a few last minute linocut prints, found my new favorite paper for this style of block printing, used it all, went to order more and it's out of stock indefinitely 😭😭😭

This reference image is so cute and reminded me quite immediately of my oc I needed to draw her in the same pose :)

i think i still prefer watercolors, i really like how they blend/their softness and have a longer working time (gouache/acrylic/oils have annoyingly involved cleanups too) but always good to play around with different mediums

Fenix @3gremlins.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

tbh i usually base my unicorns on either deer or prehistoric horses b/c i like their proportions better! i decided to push myself a little more and try an all gouache painting instead (which i haven't used in awhile)! def a different beast, but it was fun to play with more abstract forms

Fenix @3gremlins.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

one of my patrons requested unicorns be a subject for their reward paintings, so i've been doing my best to oblige! i don't feel i'm very strong at horses in particular so it's been an interesting challenge #gouache #unicorn #painting #fantasyart #handmade

I mean yeah, a decade of no one holding Trump accountable for his much more obvious crimes, combined with both Nazi and Confederate rehabilitation projects on the right, was always going to lead to “actually we’ve never done ANYTHING wrong and you guys owe us apologies for every check on our power”

You can talk like a goddamn adult on Bluesky, which is one of the reasons I like it here. The cutesy euphemisms, although I know why they’re in use on more restrictive platforms like TikTok, make me so irrationally angry

I mean, the science of it is worth getting into. These bans have no scientific backing. Research has mostly failed to show that trans athletes have any real aggregate advantages after a couple years on HRT. If there *were* a large number of trans athletes it wouldn't make the bans correct, either.

moray eels just look like kaiju to me! so i just gave one the kaiju treatment in this little watercolor painting! Mostly just added teeth and tendrils, they honestly don't need much to be a little alarming looking #watercolor #painting #handmade #morayeel #ocean

did you know that instead of promoting shitty take with your own super witty one, you can just block them?!? and move on with your day without spreading shit take to everyone's feed. wild, i know.

i really like this 3 x 9" format for painting but it really doesn't translate well into digital spaces or for prints sadly so I might have to move away from it. Bonus many vague conifers (painting vague conifers is really fun, bob ross was right)
