The upshot of the Supreme Court's mail-in voting opinion is that the conservative justices think you are very stupid. They think Trump should be able to hijack the midterms, and do not think you can see that they are doing what they can to help.

There's so much psychotic shit in this story about Max Miller, but this part of his origin story might be the weirdest
Trump quickly came to see Miller almost as a surrogate son, in large part due to his innate talent for knowing just what nostalgic show tune at what precise moment—“Memory” from Cats, for example—would succeed at talking Trump off the ledge of an incipient meltdown. In those days, senior White House staffers would summon Trump’s “Music Man” when the president became grouchy, “so [Miller] could check on the order of the songs.”

MAGA’s latest vendetta can't erase Trump’s massive failures: analysis
During most of Donald Trump's second presidency, Dr. Anthony Fauci's name appeared in few headlines. But on Thursday, August 6, the GOP-controlled Senate Homeland Security Committee voted to recommend a contempt of Congress charge for the former Biden administration health official after he repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment during a recent hearing. And according to scathing analysis from Salon's Amanda Marcotte, the MAGA movement's vendetta against Fauci defies all logic and reason. Over the years, Fauci, now 85, had very good relations with pre-Donald Trump GOP presidents — from Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush. Yet many MAGA Republicans resent Fauci deeply for supporting restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, which killed more than 1 million Americans. "For people outside of Donald Trump's MAGA coalition," Marcotte argues in her August 10 article, "the renewed Republican harassment campaign of Dr. Anthony Fauci makes no sense. It's been more than five years since the COVID-19 lockdowns ended. With the November midterms looming, most Americans are far more focused on present-day concerns, such as the high cost of living and a tough job market, than a disease that has faded from a 'mortal threat' to a 'minor annoyance' for the vast majority of people. But that didn't stop Senate Republicans, led by Kentucky's Rand Paul, to haul the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases before a Senate committee in late July to be harangued with coronavirus conspiracy theories — even though Fauci's tenure ended four years ago." Marcotte emphasizes that although "most voters" in the United States "don't even want to think about the pandemic anymore," the "social media response to the Fauci hearing showed that one group of people wishes it could be 2020 all over again: MAGA diehards." "For normal people, yearning for a time when we were socially isolated and afraid of dying from a highly contagious virus is downright bizarre," Marcotte explains. "MAGA, though, has a reason to feel nostalgia for a pandemic that killed millions. It was an era when the GOP got to do what they love more than anything: play the victim as loudly as possible before huge audiences that were especially vulnerable to disinformation. The pandemic was a painful, scary time that many of us have tried to block out." The Salon journalist continues, "But at the height of the pandemic, the right found both unity and energy by denying the seriousness of a virus that was, at its height, killing thousands of people a day…. This was the era of angry white people going into grocery stores unmasked, so they could film themselves throwing tantrums when the underpaid, scared clerks asked them to follow the rules. It was a moment when evangelical preachers, always hungry for proof that Christians are facing persecution, claimed it was a violation of religious freedom when they were asked to obey the same bans and restrictions on large indoor gatherings as everyone else. When a vaccine was finally released that offered protection against the deadliest version of the disease, MAGA was unwilling to give up a pandemic that was clearly serving their political purposes." But MAGA's vendetta against Fauci, Marcotte argues, won't erase Trump's weak approval ratings in poll after poll. "Between the Iran war and a faltering economy," Marcotte writes, "Trump's presidency is failing, and his approval ratings are in the toilet…. By reviving the harassment campaign against Fauci, the GOP has inadvertently revealed the time they long to return to: an era that is remembered by most people as miserable and deadly."

This should shock you to your core. These letters don’t just represent the experiences of people in Delaney Hall. They represent the experiences of thousands of other immigrants in concentration camps across the country.
LETTERS FROM OUR
COURAGEOUS
NEIGHBORS INSIDE THE
DELANEY HALL
CONCENTRATION CAMP
PRIVATELY OWNED AND
OPERATED BY GEO GROUP: 5/31/2026

Through this letter, we will provide an account of the events that have taken place since the 22nd of May, 2026, when the hunger strike began at the “Delaney Hall” facility, where people detained have all voluntarily stopped working and assisting with facility operations. Since the strike began, we have been subjected to reprisals, discrimination, mockery, mistreatment, and threats, mainly from “GEO” staff. Here are some names we were able to identify: Lieutenant L■■■■, Supervisor M■■■■■■■■, F■■■■■ M■■■■■■■ (Case Manager), M■■■■■■ (administrator), the facility director and shift officers, J■■■■■ (in charge of the kitchen).

They constantly threaten to deport us, transfer us to punishment units, and move us from one detention center to another; they take photos of us in the dormitories without our consent and tell us that we have no rights here.

Through these threats, they are trying to force us to work in all areas of the facility (cleaning, kitchen, maintenance, laundry, floor polishing) and are trying to force us to go down for meals by making us sign a list so they can track who goes down and who doesn’t, in order to punish those who aren’t eating. On May 25, we were gathered in the common room; the facility’s director, F■■■■■ M■■■■■■■, and the administrator, M■■■■■■, wanted to speak with the leaders of the hunger strike to identify them.

They were upset when we told them there was no leader and that the strike was a collective effort. That’s why they took retaliatory action against the young man named “■■■■■■,” the person who helped with translation.

That’s why the “GEO” staff tried to take him away in handcuffs, which all of us, seeing the injustice, wanted to prevent by peacefully blocking their path with our hands raised so that they wouldn't take him away, in return we received from them: beatings, pepper spray, and from “ICE,” a riot squad came up spraying pepper spray throughout the facility, causing many people to be rushed to the hospital - one due to the beatings and others affected by the gas. To this day, we haven’t heard anything about those people. They’ve restricted our access to tablets, visits, and the common room. They only open it on a limited basis as a form of punishment.

As a result of all this, we feel psychologically impacted and are plagued by the fear that they might carry out their threats for no reason at all.Judges, without checking the cases, order expulsion in two or three hearings, either to the country of origin or to a third country, also 95% of bond hearings are denied claiming that we are at flight risk, even though they don’t have actual arguments. Through these rulings there are people who are here from 3 months to a year and a half. We ask for the bonds to be revised since we are fathers and mothers with no criminal record and we have contributed to this beautiful country.

We deserve to be free and to complete the process at home with our families, given the excessive amount of time we have spent in this prison.

We could be released, even if it means being under supervision, required to report regularly, or wearing an ankle monitor. The conditions in this prison are not fit for human beings over such a long period of time: medical neglect, water unfit for consumption, food that is past its expiration date and in poor condition, bathrooms that are unusable, and ventilation systems that have never been maintained and because of this, we are constantly sick.

We demand freedom, a fair trial, and for our rights to be respected.

In yet ANOTHER decision by a judge trying to unstick Alex Jones' abuse of the legal process to prevent us from paying the Sandy Hook families, Texas judge Maya Gamble said Alex Jones has conducted "outrageous discovery abuse, tampering with evidence, and continuous, callous disrespect" for the law.
Even if the Court were to consider the expert affidavit and testimony offered
by FSS as prima facie evidence of FSS's net worth, the Court finds that it cannot treat such
evidence offered by FSS as credible in light of its past behavior documented in numerous
orders of this Court, including outrageous discovery abuse, tampering with evidence, and
continuous and callous disrespect for the integrity of these proceedings. This behavior has
included discovery abuse with respect to evidence of net worth, and as such, the Court has
no faith in the veracity of evidence offered by FSS as to its own net worth.
