Garfy @garfytop.bsky.social · 17/05/2025When GW sent me the new Sekhetar robots to paint up, I really wanted to see what they'd look like with a more traditional Thousand Son scheme. What do you think? Do you prefer the eavy metal ones? #AdWIP #ThousandSons #WarhammerCommunity 3526730
trashomancer.bsky.social @trashomancer.bsky.social · 17/05/2025They're kind of goofy Miniatures so I think the older style over the top paint scheme looks good on them 010
Matt Yoder @nergilpainting.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Yeah this is way better. The box scheme is unfortunately doing nothing for the models 030
Michael Virks @michaelvirks.bsky.social · 17/05/2025OK so this looks way better. They actually look like nice models?! Excellent work 010
Chris @cwh40k.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Love this scheme Garfy, really ties in with the ‘regular’ marines traditional colours! Damn it, I need to get to some thousand sons now 😆 030
Holly 🇺🇦🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🇵🇸 @mxhollyclara.bsky.social · 17/05/2025I love what you’ve done here - just gorgeous. I also really liked the one in the article that was like a statue slowly glowing to power. 020
Pete Marshall @paint-pot-pete.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Much prefer your choices - they look terrific! 😁 010
Crimson Oracle 🏳️⚧️ @crimsonoracle.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Looking them over, I think fundamentally I don’t like the models, I wasn’t sure from just the evy metal teams photos but the more I see of them the more I think the problem is the physical balance of the models. If they looked more like other imperial robots (smooth surfaces, less filigree) maybe 000
Ellundel @ellundel.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Think your traditional is much better honestly for the scheme, really glad you went with this! 010
Tubbles @tubbles.bsky.social · 17/05/2025I don't mind the standard paint job at all, but this looks nice too. I'm the worst person to ask though, because it seems like the only Space Marine models I like are the ones that have the loudest haters and the ones that have the most love are ones I find uninteresting. 110
Earth born alien @caiwhatstheirname.bsky.social · 17/05/2025I just realized what they remind me of, the goa’ul from stargate, with those huge ass helmet things. Specifically, I should point out, the ones from the stargate movie 020
Rehati Atum @rehati-atum.bsky.social · 17/05/2025These look great. I started liking the looks of these a lot more once we started seeing other paint schemes than the one we got with the release announcement 010
formerrabbit.bsky.social @formerrabbit.bsky.social · 17/05/2025They look much better than the box art. Also, that's a lot of trim. Perhaps this is why GW opted for a different scheme. 020
Chuck Stover @ceramicwombat.bsky.social · 17/05/2025These look miles better than the standard 'eavy metal paint job! 010
Cap'n Cupcake @maliceunchained.bsky.social · 17/05/2025No, the official ones look too bland. Between you and @vincentknotley.bsky.social, we're getting to see these things with some real life to them, in interesting colour schemes that show them off much better. Gorgeous work. 150
The BlackWerewolf 🐺🎃👻 @blackwolf83.bsky.social · 17/05/2025I think this colour scheme suits them far more than the one they’ve used officially. 020
Mike Howard @arthran.co.uk · 17/05/2025Honestly close to how I would paint them, except red rather than blue because I can’t get away from heresy colours 030
techbotalpha.bsky.social @techbotalpha.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Nah, these look SO much better! Great work. 010
Erilaz @erilaz.bsky.social · 17/05/2025oh these are so cool i didn't evne know about these! they look great! 010
Aaron (Tytan Wargaming) @tytanwargaming.bsky.social · 17/05/2025It reinforces the idea that the problem with the revealed models was the paint and pose I saw a video where they reposed the arms and it made a huge difference 010
Albion The Bard @albionmerrick.bsky.social · 17/05/2025This colour scheme fits so much better. Fantastic job! 030
Alex B @alsoldhammer.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Those look so, so much better than the GW official paint job. I really don’t know why they went with that scheme at all. 000
QuoteTheRaven @quotetheraven.bsky.social · 17/05/2025These look fantastic Garfy and much prefer your take on them. 020
