Peter Morley ♿️ @petermorley.bsky.social · 23/10/2025🚨If YOU rely on SNAP, please like this post, and if you could share YOUR story in the replies below.🙏 I'm SO reliant on SNAP as someone on Social Security Disability with a fixed income & have Medicare & Medicaid. We must speak out because we are NOT just a statistic we are FLESH & BLOOD! INHUMANE. 51527246
Dungargee @dungargee.bsky.social · 24/10/2025Very heartbreaking to read through this. We need to make sure we take care of each other even when our politicians are bickering amongst themselves while many starve and die because of healthcare access 010
(Lizzie)🏳️🌈🇺🇦🏳️🌈 @pip-kin.bsky.social · 24/10/2025I was a worker my entire life. But I became disabled in 2000. My insurance is UHC & am on Medicaid. I won't have heating assistance this winter. My food assistance is gone till further notice. My rent is 70% of my income. This administration may end me. 030

I have been getting $270 a month in SNAP benefits. I spend $500 on rent, $50 on internet, $120 on transportation, and $250 on paying off debts. That leaves $275 for food, etc. 4407

grayfae.bsky.social @grayfae.bsky.social · 23/10/2025i do not but my disabled partner does. she has multiple disabilities including lupus, 2 heart conditions, and vertiginous migraines. she’s tried various ways to earn money but it’s difficult when she can’t even plan a day ahead that she’ll be able to get out of bed, stand, walk, & do …. anything. 0233
foglightmj.bsky.social @foglightmj.bsky.social · 24/10/2025When elderly parents need to help their adult children or grandchildren, SNAP is a huge buffer. There are still many other expenses. Without SNAP, those "helping" dollars must now include more food and thus fewer of the other needs can be met. Coats, shoes, repairs--all those needs still arise. 000
mrxexon @mrxexon.bsky.social · 23/10/2025Same boat as you. I think there is a method at work here. Hunger would create the kind of social disorder they need to enact martial law... Fascists and "the state" have no use for the elderly and disabled. They want people who can produce. This is becoming a war on the elderly and disabled. 35014
Sara Jane La Liberté @sarajanemaki.bsky.social · 23/10/2025Same w me. On SSDI, Medicare, medicaid(Masshealth in Massachusetts, which is better than many), snap, fuel assistance. And, due to my multiple disabling conditions, my diet is very restricted. So many things I can't eat, & food banks don't have much of what i can. I NEED snap to get the food I NEED. 091
John Burden @shapelessspirit.bsky.social · 23/10/2025I called DHS and they are saying on the recording that SNAP will not be available at the first of the month already. 041
Colls @massyankee.bsky.social · 23/10/2025I'm in the same exact situation as you are in; SSDI with EBT benefits. I'm not sure what I'll do without a food benefit. 2363
Bymyown Pawz @bymyownpawz.bsky.social · 23/10/2025Im disabled. My stomach shuts down. I have snap. It's not much, but I'm poor so even $100 to food is helpful. Dr's are encouraging me to eat more when my stomach works, but with the cost of everything going up, snaps being withheld, Im not encouraged. I can't afford to exist under tyranny. 0285
Liz N @thizizlizreally.bsky.social · 24/10/2025My son buys, cooks and cleans up the bulk of the food for the 3 of us - hubby, me and son. Because I taught him long ago, he knows how to make a meal from bits of things, how to buy in bulk and stretch food. About 16 years ago, he became disabled so uses SNAP. Without his skills, we'd starve. 000
Lisa @mamabear64.bsky.social · 24/10/2025I am on SSDI & SNAP. Because of housing costs I have exactly 100$ for food - with the lack of SNAP my budget will be 80$ To survive I've been getting about 800 calories a day. Now it will need to be 600 calories or less. I am already malnourished so this is untenable 23110
Mama Wolf @rozenkraai.bsky.social · 24/10/2025I receive SNAP. And I am grateful for it. I actually have food in my house. Before I received SNAP, I got by on ramen and cheese sandwiches. I am retired from healthcare and have long Covid. I caught the virus while at work. Essential worker taking care of people with disabilities. I am terrified. 170
KnightHawk🦅 @knighthawk899.bsky.social · 24/10/2025I'm really scared how I'm going to be able to afford enough food right now. I'm on SSI it's only $967 a month and I have been pinching pennies as it is right now. I have many disabilities and have had 10 surgeries. I can't work right now. It's very frustrating being an afterthought by the govt.media.tenor.coma man in a suit says let them live on food stamps .ALT: a man in a suit says let them live on food stamps . 110

I cannot eat without SNAP or stay warm w/out HEAP. 000
Traci @tracililmom.bsky.social · 24/10/2025I too am disabled. It’s sad that we have to be at sub-poverty levels to get any assistance at all. Its not as if we are disabled by choice. God forbid those rich folks have to give up anything, like say…. taxes. 000
hand_to_eye @delightw2023.bsky.social · 23/10/2025I am on SSI which is $967 per month. I need SNAP to be able to purchase food under normal circumstances. Currently I have an infection that will require IV antibiotics. Last round of this(only 2 weeks ago) it cost almost $300 in transportation cost. Food or treatment is where I am. 14712
Grumpy Wolf @grumpadawolf.bsky.social · 23/10/2025I rely on SNAP, and have mental health issues that are pretty severe. Granted I DO still work (part time), I don't always have enough for food after paying my bills. Jan @countrygal.bsky.social · 23/10/2025Each of us can do one little thing. Bring a can of soup, a vegetable, any non perishable item to a food bank. Even one item can be so important. Most super markets have a dedicated spot for donations. Please please please do. 0100
