Checking back in on the Women's Pro Baseball League: through four games, Denae Benites is hitting .824 (14-for-17) and leads the league with 5 home runs (the rest of the league has 6 combined) and 6 stolen bases (nobody else has more than 3) what the hell

No idea about doubles or triples, but back of the napkin math has this at a 1.800 slug

It’s like if the Gronk family had a sister that grew up having to compete with all those freaks, and would up turning into a female baseball Bane.

If all her other hits are only singles (highly doubt this is the case), that...that would mean her slugging is over 1.700 and her OPS is at least 2.500

Jesus. Maybe they should consider getting her out? 14 for 17 is hilarious.

It's like Babe Ruth but she doesn't get the benefit of a color line.

One of the last great remnants of the pre-9/11 era (her birthday was 9/10/2001)

I know it didn’t matter here, but it feels like the outfielder needs to play a bit deeper

Bummer that Olivia Pichardo isn't in the league since she's probably the Ohtani of women's baseball, but I Denae has been absolutely insane. Nobody has walked her because she consistently swings and does damage on pitches well out of the zone. You need to put up the 4 fingers or she's gonna hit it.
