Rodger Sherman @rodger.bsky.social · 09/01/2026I was going to do a snarky post about how the SEC got zero teams into the national championship game and then I remembered that also happened last year and then I remembered that also happened the year before that 2168592
Sports Fact Lover @lovesportsfacts.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Everyone's being snarky here, but it's true it'd be good for the committee to realize the conference that *may* have the most teams that are in the top 10, 20, 30 is irrelevant to the very top. But we ARE also seeing strength of wins matter more than number of losses or whether there's a bad loss. 000
Nick Lowe @ewolkcin.bsky.social · 09/01/2026I like that the only time a SEC team won in the playoffs it was against another SEC team Alabama over Oklahoma Ole miss over Georgia 2110
Cao Cao Power Hour Enthusiast @statsboyandi.bsky.social · 09/01/2026the sec plan is just to only allow sec teams in the playoffs, 020
Kevin @tompickle.bsky.social · 09/01/2026car dearlership money doesn't hit like insider trading money 0290
karmastrange.bsky.social @karmastrange.bsky.social · 09/01/2026The SEC will be back. They have very deep pockets. 010
StubobNumbers @stubobnumbers.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Once that chicken money gets going, Arkansas will get one. 030
Christopher Morgan @chrism1973.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Let me do it a bit better. After going four yrs not in a final from 99-02, the SEC won in 03,06,07,08,09,10,11,12, lost in 13, 15, lost in 16, 17 - (beat UGA) lost in 18, 19,20, 21 - (beat Bama), 22. So from 2003-22. In 20 yrs 17 title appearances, 14 titles from 5 teams. 210
Chris @ceedubpdp.bsky.social · 09/01/2026It was easier when they just put two of our teams in the one championship game 040
Safeword Guesser @nasdaqistan.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Threepeat - the conference is irrelevant without the one they call Saban. 020
Vichy Democrats will not see heaven @agentincommand.bsky.social · 09/01/2026And yet the polls and committees will continue to give them the SEC discount (first three losses free!) 090
Matt @mattkropp.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Since their next opportunity to play in one isn’t until next year, it will be at least 1,477 days between National Championship appearances for the SEC 021
Mo @moman.bsky.social · 09/01/2026It would be really embarrassing if some rinky dink conference like the Pac 12 has been in the national championship game more recently than the SEC 0140
Tigercat919 - Forcetober going now! @tigercat919.bsky.social · 09/01/2026Yeah, but it's okay to make a post like that right now. Because this season It Just Means More. 010
mtipton19.bsky.social @mtipton19.bsky.social · 09/01/2026They hung well with the third best team from the ACC so you gotta give them that 1440
