The SOP for any given thing is in someone's head, and management doesn't always even know who that someone is.
How work orders get turned into outputs at any company is a black box far more impenetrable than any LLM. No surprise that Charlie Stross called bureaucracy "slow AI".
The more I talk to folks trying to implement AI in small and medium size businesses the more apparent it is that what they really need to do is figure out their internal IT stuff & create streamlined systems for the humans already doing the work.
Can't even begin to bring in AI until this is done.
