Good analysis; what’s more, the populist/fascist playbooks encourage voter apathy “they’re all the same” and Labour has engineered precisely that sentiment among the groups which should be it’s most natural supporters esp. progressives, environmentalists, Pro-Europeans etc

Anger & disappointment are fine. Failing to recognise the predicament the UK finds itself in, and thus the pragmatism required to govern is the part I find bemusing. The choice at the next election is pragmatism vs madness. Far better to rally around Labour than posture with no realistic alternative

Excellent summary. I would add completely ignoring health care professionals and basic biological science in their efforts to appease the anti-trans lobby. Appeasing lobbyists even when it goes against their pledges (or the facts on the ground) seems to be a common thread.

For me it's many things but their cruelty to trans people and trans kids in particular. They knew their policies would cause trans kids deaths and they did it anyway as if they wanted that outcome. Trans kids have died since and they attempted to cover it up. Unforgiveable.

I left the Labour Party because of their stance on Gaza which is totally inhumane. Also as a disabled person, bedridden with #ME for 33 years, it’s been chilling to watch their attitude towards people too ill to work who get no help from the NHS and have to fight for any kind of benefit or care.
