Now more than ever before, it's easier to solve problems and reach your destination, but I think the journey still matters. Hopefully you do as well. zureka.dev/blog/the-jou...

The Journey Still Matters
What a childhood of Sudoku books taught me about engineering, helping others, and working alongside AI.

I definitely think Warlock dude should have earned a higher spot on the tier list and I don’t think Druid dude deserves S tier.

Before reading the whole post, I assumed you meant an EmberJS mug and got really confused when you mentioned charging.

This is my father’s retirement hobby. He actually knows how to repair them as well so he has a hoard of speakers/receivers in his basement that he fixes and sells on Facebook Marketplace. Whenever I visit he has to show me his new speakers that he recently fixed up that sound amazing now.

Not going to lie though, seeing all the stuff some product people have been building since AI unleashed them isn’t much better. It’s almost as if the friction helped us narrow down which ideas were worth focusing on in the first place rather than building everything immediately.

That's why I started following you after reading your "I want off My. Golang's Wild Ride" post. I only recently started blogging again myself, but even if no one reads what I write I still benefit from it.

Have you ever joined a project where the docs were horribly outdated or the code didn't follow consistent patterns? It's now more important than ever to keep docs up-to-date and establish conventions to help your new "coworkers" onboard more quickly. zureka.dev/blog/onboard...

I expect tech companies to be hit by a triple whammy in the coming months 1. Rising AI token costs. 2. The realization churning out more code doesn’t necessarily translate to business or customer value and is in fact worse in some cases. 3. Fewer employees to clean up the mess post-layoffs.

I have never wanted “playables” in YouTube. I have never wanted to play games through Netflix. I don’t understand the mindset of people making these decisions to make these products feel like absolute trash.

I don't care about LLMs or AI. I care about people. AI is just a tool to me. Tools enable people to help or harm at a scale beyond their natural abilities. I care about how people treat each other using these tools.
