The decision to reverse the proposed consumer protections, which are very popular, came after an aggressive lobbying campaign by Airlines for America and individual airlines. The industry used its influence, cash, and flattery to get their way.

One thing that is interesting/perplexing to me, an author whose books have been banned, is that I'm constantly being asked to talk about how the book bans affect libraries and readers. This is important, but why not ask me, an author, how book bans affect authors? This could be relevant.
