Thousands of our neighbors are currently suffering in cages, many in solitary confinement, inside ICE concentration camps around the country. Delaney Hall is about 1 hr from my place in Philly; I travel there often. It continues to be one of the nation’s worst, most unsafe, inhumane ICE facilities.

"Kids don't read anymore." My circ stats beg to differ. The feedback I got back from Summer Reading really begs to differ. Kids are reading, and kids want to read more. The way kids are being taught means they don't read a lot of full books in class. But that doesn't mean they don't want to read.

I wanted Lindsey Clancy institutionalized for life, not imprisoned. Because postpartum psychosis is real and not just some “hormonal” thing. Latarsha Sanders should get the same consideration. And we really need to have a discussion about the way women’s health is talked about.
