It's my birthday, and a year on HRT. Life is complicated, work is tough, the state of the world is horrifying, but when I look inside myself to see how I'm feeling, the answer is happy. I love my partner, and transition is the best thing I've ever done for myself (again). More of this please!

I had a fun one the other day with a friendly coworker I was reminding I was trans. He was totally hung up on the fact that I have a female partner. Couldn't get past it. 100% true for me, and quite possibly the most universal sentiment I've heard expressed by trans people. Because of course it is. Because forcing people (with legal Or social pressure) to live without a simple, cheap, available, and life-saving treatment for their condition is pure cruelty.
