On the weekend, I plan on buying a 20-pound case or two of tomatoes to kick off my annual end-of-season tomato fest. This year, I’ll freeze some of them whole. The skins peel right off after freezing and thawing slightly.

Such a common sight in eateries, and so problematic on multiple levels. The terrible damage that animal-based foods like pork do to natural ecosystems and to human health, and then on top of all that, gross waste. It's obscene. A symptom of a society totally out of touch with physical reality.
