As a hobbyist game designer, I actually love the idea of players of my games tweaking with the mechanics and find new ways to overcome challenges or just be silly in my games. There's something exciting about someone's so committed to do something like that in my game.

This article is going to get hideously misunderstood by some. To clarify, this isn't gen-AI. Giant open worlds like do not happen without some kind of procedural generation. Tech like Speedtree and tools to dynamically place detail and clutter has been part of the basic design tools for ages.

Last night, I worked on the event system for my #pcengine #jrpg #homebrew. Now events can take different turns depending on the player's progress in the game, among other things. Progress is happening, maybe not as quickly as I wished, but I'm happy with how things are turning out :)

I've been quiet, but lots of progress was made in my #DRPG. There are now 9 classes to pick from, characters can use all learns all sorts of spells and skills, most of the town facilities are down, a lot of the battle algorithms are ready and stuff... I may post some screenshots soon
