Because there is a perverse incentive for interviewers not to ask too pointed of questions lest the interviewee not grant interviews. They can always find someone else to interview them.

They are all pretty much in lockstep over the building. Best case some Dems "want to take the trans issue off the table" so, by definition, not defending us. And not a single Dem saying that's bad. Like it or not, they support the building more.

@moderation.bsky.app It is entirely inappropriate to label all posts of a minority poster as "Rude" and hide them regardless of content. There has been tons of rudeness on Dems on trans sports, but I've not seen anyone else so labeled. @montrealmuffin.bsky.social was no worse than any of them.

As someone who has been covering transgender rights for years, let me be clear about something: When you see capitulation over sports, know that it NEVER stops at sports. And in fact, Turek illustrated this just yesterday when he embraced a federal ban on funding for all trans care.

Another annoyance of @bsky.app treating threads as all one thing: I can't mute sub threads. I can't mute hateful replies to my own comment while still commenting on the broader issue. Along with "person who starts the convo controls it all", I really wish you'd adopt a more nuanced option.

Huh. All this time I always just thought JJ was the one singing the song about himself. I guess the Kidssongs version colored my perception, as it started with one adult singing while walking down the street and only added kids walking with him. I thought they were in solidarity with him.

Yeah. The issue is that the original languages use the grammatical male gender for the personal gender neutral. English doesn't really do that anymore, so an accurate translation needs to use gender neutral nouns and pronouns where appropriate. YWHW is specifically gendered as male, though.

In 2024, several New Hampshire Democrats, afraid that anti-trans attacks would work, voted in favor of a trans surgery ban and bathroom bill. They lost more seats than most other states. Now the R majority is ramping up targeting us. Capitulation didn't work. National Dems, take note.
