Yeah. The issue is that the original languages use the grammatical male gender for the personal gender neutral. English doesn't really do that anymore, so an accurate translation needs to use gender neutral nouns and pronouns where appropriate.
YWHW is specifically gendered as male, though.

But I *think* everybody believes translating God=Her would be revision rather than translation
