So apparently it was a dashed hope re investment. TransMountain Pipeline (owned by Fed) and Alberta Govt are funding 90% of this!!! So the South coast of BC (people, migratory birds, whales and the environment) will be sacrificed to placate the Alberta separatists. Who won't be placated anyway.

One of the biggest lies we’ve allowed ourselves to believe is we *deserve* material luxury and conspicuous consumption in exchange for “burnout” and hard work, when what we deserve is material needs met and conspicuous care of ourselves and our community.

Our friend the Togo Toad lives in western Africa from Sierra Leone to Togo! They are a moderately sized toad, with males growing to about 2.5 inches long! A population in Sierra Leone was once known as the Tingi Hills Toad but is now considered synonymous with the Togo Toad! (photo by Alex Rebelo)
A rather stout looking brown toad with strong looking legs and very rough skin! They are covered in lots of warty bumps and have long, skinny parotoid glands!

Calling all bird-loving artists! This month's bird is the Eurasian Pygmy Owl! ✨ Draw! Paint! Sculpt! We hope you'll join us. Posting day is Oct 28th. Rules and Full Size Ref. Photo here: birdwhispererproject.com/participate/ #birds #BirdWhisperer #art
This months bird is the smallest owl species in Europe! It’s sitting on a branch, facing the viewer, in a dim foggy forest. Its yellow eyes are like a spark of color.

“Eurasian pygmy owl is usually red-tinged to a greyish-brown with dots on its back. The tail is generally darker than the body with five narrow, whitish bars. It has a small, short head with white to grey eyebrows and yellow eyes. The belly is mostly white with brown speckles. The beak is a greyish-yellow and hook-shaped.”

No need to look up statistics, it's theoretically ALWAYS better to choose the bear. Even if the bear killed 100% of the time, it would still win out, because it would just start and stop at killing.
