i am just old enough that my very first year of uni was also the last year that my school did electronic class registration using dumb terminals scattered randomly around campus; the next year they all got replaced by regular pcs running the same web app you could access online

I like seeing the dev of the SNES core on the Pocket actually telling one of these dudes off. Holy shit.

If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

i read the first couple chapters of the student council manga and dropped it because it was terrible, but i also thought that it'd be fire as an anime and the first episode has not proven me incorrect

They call her Hex Maniac not because she's obsessed with hexes and ghosts, but because she is highly knowledgeable about hexadecimal codes/general assembly programming and development and also because she's obsessed with hexes and ghosts (it's a coincidence)

lots of anime use a really high-energy opening theme song to get the watcher fired up for what they're about to watch, but the _really_ good shows use a banger ending theme to always leave the watcher feeling excited about what they just saw

An image from the ending credits of Girls und Panzer, it shows several rows of WWII-era tanks and armored vehicles with super-deformed drawings of high school girls mounted upon them.

For all my knight lesbians out there ⚔️🐎🌹

Digital illustration of a female knight sitting at a horse and holding a long lance. She's seen from the side, in a full armor, with a heraldic gryphon on her chest, and some scars on her face. Her wavy hair is down, with the sides braided away from her face. The horse is also wearing an armor, with a metal unicorn horn on its head. The character is in greyscale and there's a fluo pink gothic type overlaid on top saying 'Lesbian Jousting'. Additional small copy says 'a medieval martial sport where two armoured lesbian knights charge at each other with lances at full speed, aiming to unseat the opponent'.

today i am thinking about the void (thread from 2024 on the other website)

a screenshot of king’s field, showing a scary translucent ghost and two wide pathways with low ceilings fading into pure black

a screenshot of sonny boy ep 1. one student is lying on his back, feet towards the camera. the other is two paces to his right, standing up. they are on a green and red roof surrounded by a green fence. the colors are incredibly vivid. the sky is pure black.

a shot from mishima: a life in four chapters. it shows a hallway shaped like a tetris S block filled with people and bright colors. outside the hallway is pure black.

a shot from an old atari game. there’s a blue expanse, a few abstract shapes, and pure black on either side of the expanse.

Every so often I remember the Marvel Mangaverse version of Captain America, and how she seems to be clearly modeled after Yukari from Azumanga Daioh. *Why* did they do this? It confounds me.
