Node.js added support for path rewrites for #/ wildcard. This means you don't need typescript voodoo to use project relative imports. Thanks to @hybrist.dev github.com/nodejs/node/...

module: allow subpath imports that start with `#/` by hybrist · Pull Request #60864 · nodejs/node
It's a common ecosystem pattern to map a source root directory to @/ but it requires special tooling support. This turns #/* into a more realistic alternative for that pattern. See: #49182

Use the standard Node.js "imports" field instead of TypeScript aliases:
A side‑by‑side code comparison showing migration from TypeScript path aliases to Node.js imports. On the left, tsconfig.json defines `"paths": { "@/ *": ["./ *"] }`, used as `import "@/foo"`. On the right, package.json defines `"imports": { "#app/ *": "./ *" }`, used as `import "#app/foo"`. Red arrows point from the TS config to the package.json config and from the old import style to the new one.
