One of the objectively good things about Good Omens 3 is how it made sure to leave the fans with physical bookshop locations in London and Edinburgh to socialise at. The vibe is not quite the same without Aziraphale and his miracles, but it’s still fun to toast to the world here.

The real-world part of Soho serving as the tableau of Pratchett Easter eggs at the end of Good Omens 3 — in the centre, the old Bloemfontein building on 22 Great Chapel Street in Soho, London. In the film, its upper floors belong to the teal bookshop, but it’s actually open for the Good Omens fans as Mr. Fogg’s The Hat Tavern & Gin Club, Purveyors of Great Beer, Fine Gin, & Superb Top Hats.

The cover of the Book of Life from Good Omens 3 (the original one) vis-à-vis first edition, first impression of Charles Dickens's Bleak House printed by London-based publishing house Bradbury & Evans in 1853. Interestingly, a matching first edition of A Tale of Two Cities appears in the posters and Aziraphale’s bookshop scenes in Good Omens 2.

It’s not even my bookshop and the very first thing I’ve noticed was the amount of traces Crowley has left all around it over the years, systematically going through Aziraphale’s books and letters, writing something himself, and even drinking cocoa from his angel’s favourite mug.

Last look at Aziraphale’s bookshop counter and desk from Good Omens 2, just as it was left after Crowley’s morning cleanup and the Final Fifteen.

First look at the same part of the bookshop from Good Omens 3. There’s a general sense of disarray and being more lived in than before, with open books and loose papers everywhere and a desk lamp lighting up a part of the desk with a fountain pen resting on top of some documents and a cocoa mug that weren’t there before.

Friendly reminder that 1992 Aziraphale has the most badass scene in the whole Good Omens multiverse to date, taking a 180 degree turn from his usual fluffy principality we all know and love to the real angel of wrath protecting Crowley from harm — Satan himself — in his true form.

Rome Aziraphale wearing his general brooch from the War in Heaven is such a great comparison of what Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ were supposed to mean: a decisive victory over Hell and Satan… but at what cost?

The fact that Aziraphale is also stylised as Braveheart speaks volumes about some of the costume department’s choices.

Seeing his short hair and all-white robes in Rome is not as much of a contrast as his cheerful attitude and question about Crowley being still a demon — he really hoped that the Messiah had died for all sins, including those of the fallen angels.

Bibliosmia, the comforting smell of old books, is a mix of vanilla, almond, and earth-like volatile organic compounds created during the breakdown of cellulose and lignin in pages or bindings. Aziraphale has lived in his bookshop for centuries, so its scent envelops both him and his clothes.

Louis Ralph has uploaded a few new Good Omens 3 concept artworks to his portfolio: looks like the South Downs cottage garden was supposed to be filled with flowers and alcohol on long-haired Anthony’s side, preserves and cakes on Asa’s, their left-right positioning back to normal.
