The way I see it, some people had assumed moral superiority over their interpretation of the Finale and felt so comfortable in a position of power that they’ve started attacking those fans who were visibly struggling. Rob’s panel took away the legitimacy of those actions, so they’re lashing out now.

The Good Omens fandom used to be known for its openness, kindness, and creativity — both online and offline — so seeing it change in real time due to petty infighting on private Discord servers and aggression on public social media platforms is as confusing as it’s disappointing.

“Get thee behind me, foul fiend… After you”. And if you feel like you’ve done something wrong, maybe donating to ARUK or volunteering in person would be more meaningful response both to you and those affected than posting lengthy (non-)apology threads on social media.

Precisely! Even if emotions of some groups or individuals are high at the moment, the creative side of the fandom spaces is perfect for processing them in a safe and even personally enriching way. So many people would be better off writing or drawing them out instead of turning against each other.

One of the objectively good things about Good Omens 3 is how it made sure to leave the fans with physical bookshop locations in London and Edinburgh to socialise at. The vibe is not quite the same without Aziraphale and his miracles, but it’s still fun to toast to the world here.

The real-world part of Soho serving as the tableau of Pratchett Easter eggs at the end of Good Omens 3 — in the centre, the old Bloemfontein building on 22 Great Chapel Street in Soho, London. In the film, its upper floors belong to the teal bookshop, but it’s actually open for the Good Omens fans as Mr. Fogg’s The Hat Tavern & Gin Club, Purveyors of Great Beer, Fine Gin, & Superb Top Hats.
