For me, many of the same men who hold misogynistic views against women are the same types of men who have harmed me in the past for "not being man enough". I've also been hurt by these same men (albeit not to the same degree), and that allows me to understand where they're coming from.

"Fandoms got meaner after lockdown" strikes me as incredibly false tbh Nerd/geek fandoms have always been filled with people who felt socially ostracized as kids, and as a result often become hostile to people they see as encroaching on "their space."

Don't worry about playing every game in a series you're new to! Just jump in with the new game, and if you like it, go back at play more of it! Sincerely, A Metroid fan

I genuinely would not be the person I am today if it wasn't for Diddy Kong Racing (DS). That game has defined so much of what I love about games, music, visual design, character design, etc. A piece of my soul lives within this game, and I will always be my "origin point" as a lover of art.

Happy 20th to Food and Liquor. This will always be a perfect album to me. So many of the songs have so much depth and Lupe's storytelling is simply out of this world. This album make my imagination run wild, and I can’t think of another rap project that has done that for me. Top 3 faves 4 sure.

I definitely agree that this bloodthirsty depiction of Samus isn’t really in line with her character, but I do wonder if it's because she's losing herself to her Metroid DNA. I wonder if the game's story will explore that more and have Samus grapple with how her new powers are affecting her.

I remember this exact pseudoscientific bullshit being peddled in men's dating advice spaces back during the Bush administration, when I was but a lonely teenager. Of course back then we didn't have mainstream media sanewashing it. Never thought I'd be nostalgic for 2005.

Per gameplay previews, it looks like stages in Mega Man: Dual Override are multi-segmented, probably to allow for more space for returning bosses, the game looks so clean!
