Honestly for me it simply comes down to me enjoying yapping about the games I play. Even if just a single person enjoys what I do, that's enough for me ^^

Without knowing your tastes, a few games I can think of from the top of my head include Bloodborne, Shadow of the Collosus Remake, and either of the Infamous games. From what I've seen, the Rachet and Clank game also seems pretty solid.

In the unlikely event the project blows up, I'm happy to share the quote, but for now, those in the know, know. Obviously you're free to completely dismiss me, assume I'm lying, but know I'm actually sympathetic towards those who don't want to be shunned, but they need to keep the others in line.

YoshiChief @yoshichief.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

The first quote is paraphrased, echoing the sentiment I've seen various folks expressed. The second quote is a true quote, referring to a high ranking developer of a popular project seen in a mod chat, which goes directly against that sentiment, and I just find that very funny.

What do you need clarifying?

YoshiChief @yoshichief.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

The fact I had this reply about a gen-AI concern which doesn't even remotely address my point and might as well have been written by an LLM speak volumes x3

250 0

YoshiChief @yoshichief.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Did.....did you even read my post? That first sentence doesn't even make any sense. You're not even addressing what I'm talking about. Did you use an LLM to write this post? XD

YoshiChief @yoshichief.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

"Don't be quick to judge folks who use gen-AI on projects, it can be useful and you might hurt their feelings!" I wouldn't, but when I see comments like "I really do need to find some AI code to merge into core so we can eject the virtue signalers" from a prominent dev, I have to be on guard.

As more and more projects get released, it's getting more difficult to keep up with disclaimers and whether gen-AI was used for a particular project, so please don't automatically assume malice if one is showcased. Community efforts go a long way :)

040 0

YoshiChief @yoshichief.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

The main issue is, not all projects will do this, or at least have disclaimers hidden somewhere. So in my streams and vids, if I happen to showcase something that does in-fact have gen-AI usage, please by all means flag it to me, but be mindful that I very likely didn't see this myself.

180 0

YoshiChief @yoshichief.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

So here's the thing about games/mods/other types of projects that use gen-AI. Whatever your opinion of the usage of gen-AI is, I think we can agree that it should always be easily disclosed if used, and the purpose of the usage, so that folks can judge for themselves.

Most questions on /r/Twitch can be boiled down to "how do I interact and socialise with other people?"

My Steam account is 22 years old, the years of service badge proves it. Yet I don't have a credit card, only a debit card. And because of that, I cannot verify my age on Steam to access mature content, even if I wanted to verify. Fuck off Valve (and by extension, fuck off UK Gov).
