974 people died while homeless in England and Wales in 2025. Behind this number is 974 people whose lives were tragically cut short because of homelessness. This is inexcusable in 2026. And it doesn’t have to be this way. By working together, we can end homelessness for good.

Together with TDS Charitable Foundation, we've helped 750 Crisis members move into privately rented homes over the past year and prevented a further 102 people from losing their tenancy. A safe and secure home changes everything.

UK Government has committed £10bn to build new homes in England, including 1000s more social homes.🥳 With 180,000 children trapped in temporary accommodation, this is very welcome. But Government must bring forward more funding in the Autumn budget, so more families can find safe & stable homes.

For too long, housing benefit has not kept pace with soaring rents. This is driving record numbers of people into homelessness as they're priced out of their homes. The government must unfreeze housing benefit urgently so it covers the true cost of renting. Everyone needs a home.

In the UK, people from the LGBTQ+ community are more at risk of homelessness than the general population. Unfortunately, discrimination still prevents people from having a safe and stable place to live. Nobody should be kicked out for coming out. Everyone needs a home.
