Maybe it's just easier to have a fight over banning members of the press from the White House than it is to deal with the many other things weighing down the administration. In my 30+ years reporting, hostility to the press often is inversely proportional to how badly things are going for the pol.

JFC. She’s lifting this slop directly from AI… on a book she’s never read.
Core Themes of the Novella

• Loneliness: Most characters inhabit an isolated world, craving a deep sense of belonging that their itinerant lifestyle denies them.

• Friendship: The rare, loyal bond between George and Lennie stands in stark contrast to an unforgiving, dog-eat-dog environment.

• Fragile Dreams: The shared vision of owning a small piece of land acts as a psychological lifeline that ultimately shatters against harsh reality.

Why the Story Lingers

• Economy of Words: Steinbeck strips his prose down to bare essentials, making the emotional impact hit with staggering force.

• Moral Responsibility: The narrative forces uncomfortable questions about how society treats the vulnerable and what we owe to one another.

Unfortunately, these two don't seem to know whose work ethic "actually" built this country - the cotton economy, much of Washington DC, the Transcontinental Railroad, etc. - slave labor. Having money to buy people to perform labor is not really work ethic, more like evil greed.
