You're sticking with your assertion without offering an example?

I don't think that's an accurate representation of what Yglesias wrote. But I haven't read everything he's written, and I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

I hate to say Ronald Reagan was right about anything, but he was right when he said anyone can become an American.

I remember one year the Red Sox' staff was concerned about Pedro Martinez' right hip. He wasn't injured, but they were concerned he would hurt himself. He was slender and threw very hard.

I think it's good to remind people to keep their focus on their long-term goals, and not every day is a day in paradise.

I remain very skeptical of the long-term effects of "elite" experiences for a child's development.

Rs who previously espoused free markets now backing price controls, diesel embargoes, ending wars, government ownership stakes in tech companies, massive tariffs and inflationary give everybody-a-$5,000-check-but-only-if-we-win policies right before an election.

Let's hope they do. The answer to the question "is the government functioning well?" is often lost in the horserace coverage and commentary, but pothole politics is important!

Thank you for posting these, they are wonderful. I don't always have a chance to comment, but I read them all. Theses posts and comments are an oasis in a harsh desert of too much bad news.

Maybe it's just easier to have a fight over banning members of the press from the White House than it is to deal with the many other things weighing down the administration. In my 30+ years reporting, hostility to the press often is inversely proportional to how badly things are going for the pol.

I always had naturally strong legs until surgery required a few weeks of non-activity. The loss of strength was surprising and a real bummer.

! Trump says there is something “wrong” with a country that allows people to write “purposefully negative stories.”

It was good, but they could have cut 20 minutes near the end and slightly modified the ending, and it would have been perfect.

I don't see where she missed. She talked about corporations getting away with polluting and people not being able to afford healthcare. Those sound like reasonable concerns to discuss with someone - even if that person is also anti-vax. Maybe she went off the rails somewhere else in the interview?

Hillbilly Jamboree (as the Saturday 11am-1pm show is called) is an excellent show. They define "hillbilly" very, very loosely, and the students do a great job of mixing up familiar songs and artists with obscure.

I bet you'd get difference answers to “Should President Trump be allowed to dictate to the Post Office what mail they can deliver?” and “Should President Ocasio-Cortez be allowed to dictate to the Post Office what mail they can deliver?”
