KY law, if Mitch's seat is vacant before August 4th, KY will have to have a special election for his seat. If it's after August 4th, no special election is needed. So basically the GOP are waiting until August 4th to announce Mitch's death. My question is, why are Democrats allowing this to happen?

Met a new neighbor. He seemed normal UNTIL I noticed his Trump hat. I was confused. How could he be a MAGA and be sane? As the convo ended, he casually mentioned he’d just gotten out of jail for robbing a taco truck. “The Mexicans framed me!” he declared. Suddenly the universe made sense again.
