(rhymes with Ambrosia) I deal with health insurance companies for a living - it is pretty soul crushing, but hey, ask me about PAs! She/Her, 5th gen Coloradan, love my rescue dogs, camping, hiking, etc... This is my new home to talk into the void

Can someone smarter than I please tell me if its a big deal that one of the latest ice facilities in eastern CO is actually taking its water from the Colorado River headwaters?

There were probably about 100 people inside the townhall at it's peak, and probably over 100 outside. I was just there, and for those wondering, it is still going on right now with the public comment period. There is a live stream.

Pyrocumulus clouds spotted over the Aspen Acres fire yesterday, as it nearly doubled in size on Wednesday. Fueled by high heat and gusty winds, the fire essentially created its own weather at times yesterday, leading to what you’re seeing here. #COwx

There is a specific PBM that I need to call often for prior auths. It has one of THE WORST AI voices I have had to listen to. The voice has this upbeat and uncomfortably cheery vocal fry mixed with a tremor that makes it sound like they were going for "happy captive."

I am constantly saying this.
That old saw about how "good times make weak men" is true in the sense that stable times with material abundance create reactionaries who want to destroy the systems that protect them because they're too sheltered and stupid to understand that things can get meaningfully worse.

True decadence looks like people who are three generations removed from the cultural memory of polio refusing to vaccinate their children against deadly communicable diseases because they don't like needles and don't think there will be any consequences, not queer dance parties.
