It occurred to me the other day that the Venn diagram of people who boost AI art and people who insist there's no meaning to the curtains being blue is just a circle. It's "art" for people with no sense of interiority or intentionality and a hostility to the suggestion those should exist in art.

A city street at the pinkest part of dusk. A dude in the fanciest coat you've ever seen is hanging out with his boyfriend in leather pants. The sweet coat dude turns to see Batman strolling down the street, cape flapping fabulously in the breeze. The coat dude flirts, "Hiya, Batman. Nice night for a stroll." Batman ain't DTF, though, so he simply walks past, while greeting them with a, "Gentlemen."

In the process of getting a new kitchen range. The previous one here was massive with two ovens and a hood built in, was hardwired into the house, and has lasted since the 70s. Someone at some point expected this to be the only oven they’d have in their lifetime.

When folks are against longer seasons of TV because they don't like "filler" episodes, I can tell they didn't grow up with THE X-FILES. Anyone who watched KNEW the monster of the week eps WERE the show. I can barely remember the main conspiracy storyline, but can give vivid details on one-off cases.

Went to see Akira on the big screen (incredible of course) and as we got home, our neighbor grabbed us to come have free food at their cookout where we also got to hear the endearing story of another neighbor’s grandaughter who is an aspiring artist that hates ai. It was a good day.
