government deficits caused Egypt to invade Israel in 1973 and government deficits caused Russia to invade Ukraine in 2020. government deficits caused the USA to attack Iran this year, when will people stop denying that deficits cause inflation.

DeepSeek infer is the cloud version of DwarfStar, conceptually. Vertical inference engine for one model and specific hardware. Good move. And well, a lesson to the ones that criticized this approach as well.

This brings to mind Logan Wright’s point on a recent Pekingology episode. The US turn away from multilateralism improves its bilateral relationship with China as the latter fears facing down a coalition coordinated by the US. They are worrying about post Trump ‘29 world

Hmmm… l’ve been building on top of prime agent, but building on top of a more modular and extendable harness does have appeal

I guess if you are confident in your ability to continuously innovate you are not going to be too precious on any one thing. It also helps seeds competition for inference that adds margin pressure for the big two

This is reality. The old Dutch landscape versus the new. This was an early morning last week on the Dutch countryside. While I am not a big fan of the massive turbines in the landscape, in this particular scene it looks somewhat unreal and spectacular.

This is just the demo (come see us presenting it with @vdbdavid.eurosky.social at www.vlaanderen.be/trefdag-vlaa... next week!) but: - Optional ID verification - Only showed my ID to the government, super easy with myGov.be - My details aren't stored on protocol
My profile on mu, with an extra box offering to verify myself via the myGov service, as a Belgian residentMy profile after being verified, with a little "eID" badge that's blue with a smile made of five little stars. Clicking the verified badge shows that I verified both my name and humanity, listing date and expiry, as well as the Athumi integration.

Y’all, I hate to rain on the dead bot parade, but the Yandex data center destruction doesn’t seem to have significantly impacted social media bots. I made temporal graphs of X posts about AfD around the time of the attack and there’s no sign of a sudden dip or residual impact on that conversation.

Birmingham Snow Hill station. The 'old' station closed in 1972, and was then demolished and the track was taken up. This photo is of some of the bridges north of the station in 1976. In 1987 a new station was opened. My photo.
Disused railway tunnels. Sunlight from the left hand side lights up only part of the gloom. There are buildings on top of a tunnel and an opening in the distance.

Yes and I share frustration about the lack of coordination that would make protocol level solutions more viable. Collective action problems are thorny and difficult, which is probably why historically the ecosystem ended up as various shades of chiefdoms

At a particularly awkward G20 afterparty, Europe, America, Russia and China decide to put their keys in a bowl. America and Russia salivate over a fantasy of true (totally hetronormative) masculinity. They negotiate safe words, but both parties enthusiastically violate each other's boundaries

I agree, but that it is still a problem is also means that it is potentially an opportunity. It needn’t be fixed at the platform level, but maybe at a different level of the stack i.e innovative protocol level solutions amongst multiple potential players
