I have yet to see any AI make actual pixel art. No matter how stable the diffusion, AI fails when the resolution is 32x32. I predict that pixel art will have an even bigger comeback than it already has. #pixelart #noAI #AI

Just starting my new #gamedev project written in C. over the last few days I got a basic setup for SDL3 and sokol gfx. It handles keyboard input, renders a texture and on debug builds the game code can be hot swapped. All this just in time for #ScreenshotSaturday

Super Mario Sunshine is the only 3D Mario platformer in which Mario gets tired of hanging from a ledge. After 17 seconds of holding on, he will start shaking uncontrollably, and let go 3 seconds later. In the other platformers, he can hang from ledges indefinitely without issue.

I know this is another old woman yells at cloud, back in my day post, but you used to be able to just buy a game and play it immediately. No downloadibg, updating day 1 patch compile vulkan shaders. There also used to be less load times.
