Physicists will spend $10 billion on a particle accelerator to understand why there is an "unnatural" hierarchy between the Planck scale and the weak scale, then insist that philosophy has no role and we should shut up and calculate.

Lots of ICE in Massachusetts these days. Saving, sharing, and spreading this information will help keep good people safe from masked kidnappings. Especially if you're not at risk yourself, use your voice and privilege to spread this knowledge. It will save lives.
This is an infographic designed to inform individuals in Massachusetts about how to respond if they see ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) activity. It provides a hotline number and outlines the services offered by LUCE (Massachusetts ICE Watch), an organization focused on community support and rights education regarding ICE enforcement.

Text in the Image:

La imagen incluye texto grande en la parte superior que pregunta si has visto a ICE, seguido de instrucciones para llamar a la línea directa de LUCE con un número de teléfono. A la izquierda hay un código QR. Debajo, una sección describe lo que hace la organización: verificar avistamientos de ICE, ayudar a las personas a ejercer sus derechos y compartir información verificada con la comunidad. A macro photograph captures a black ant on a vibrant green leaf with serrated edges. The ant is positioned near a cluster of small, dark-colored aphids attached to the stem. The ant's antennae are extended forward, and its body is slightly arched, suggesting interaction with the aphids. The background is softly blurred, highlighting the detailed textures of the ant's exoskeleton and the leaf's surface.

Another cool Martian cloud spotted by CNSA Tianwen 1... and yes, Mars does have clouds! Full size & info: flic.kr/p/2r2HXah Image Processing: Andrea Luck Raw data: CNSA/CLEP/PEC/MoRIC Mars, Protonilus Mensae - March 1, 2022 #planetsci 🧪
An orbital image of the Martian surface taken by Tianwen-1, showing the region of Protonilus Mensae in the Ismenius Lacus quadrangle. The landscape features a mix of rugged, eroded mesas and numerous impact craters. Near the bottom, an eroded landform resembles the shape of an ancient riverbed. The terrain varies in colour from warm rusty reddish tones to more brownish, with contrasting light and dark shading that reveals surface textures and elevation changes. Very light cloud cover is visible near the top of the image, softening the details in that region. Toward the right side, a distinct, bright white cloud casts a soft shadow, standing out sharply against the rusty ground. The overall scene conveys the dry and rocky, yet ancient and geologically complex nature of the Martian terrain.
