Saw Duncan Jones’ new film ROGUE TROOPER last night @ London Film Festival. Find I’m mostly describing it as “beautiful” to ppl. It’s v particular combo of motion capture & computer animation (no AI!) builds the richest, most gorgeous movie “world” I’ve seen in years. I loved it so much.

Thank you, Graham. I appreciate that. While I didn't/couldn't copy Dave's amazing pencil style, I tried hard to emulate his storytelling choices and keep his characters recognisable. It all had to be done quite fast too. I'd love to do Book 3.

Formats don't make bad films "immersive". The only thing that makes a film "immersive" is a good script performed by informed & talented actors. "Casablanca" is immersive FFS.

I'm reluctant to accuse the artist of using AI, 'cos that's happened to me and it's enraging. I don't even think they are bad caricatures (I recognised them immediately)... but the overall design still reeks of "CD you'd see for sale in a petrol station in the 90s". Like you say: weird.

I think the 10CC font is supposed to look like the MAD magazine logo. I mean, it's a bold move... but do I want to look at it for very long? Not really, no.
