#ShittyCameraChallenge #ArgusC3 On Argust Day, a day when Argus camera fans make photographs with their Argus cameras, I took my C3 and a roll of Elektra 100 out. Amongst the double exposures, here are two photographs from Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh NC.

I think that you are correct. This is what the Argus C3 Match-Matic manual lists for shutter and aperture comparisons.
Exerpt from the Argus Match-Matic C3 manual that shows the relationship between the numbers listed on the shutter speed dial and lens aperture ring, and the actual values.
For example, in bright sunlight, ISO 100 film would have an Exposure Value, i.e. EV, of 15. So to set the exposure on a Match-Matic C3, you would add the lens opening value to the shutter setting to equal the EV. So an lens setting of 8, f/16, added to the shutter setting of 7, 1/125, would equal 15. What would also work would be a lens opening of 7, f/11, and a shutter setting of 8, 1/300th.

#believeinfilm - Disaster strikes I loaded my Leica IIc with a bulk loaded roll of FomaPan 100. After i buttoned up the camera, I found a plastic ring on the bedspread. The bottom of the bulk loaded cassette. I am interested in what light leaks I am going to see on the roll of film.
Leica IIc. top and bottom of a 35mm plastic film can, and the bottom of a reusable bulk loading 35mm cassette.
Since the bottom of the cassette fell off, the cassette is not light tight and the film is likely to have light leaks on it.
Yes, I shot it anyways.

#believeinfilm #SHD50 I shot a short roll of SHD50 at an EI of 25 and developed it in HC110 to see how it developed. First pass, I think that 5 min in HC110 1:31 @ 5min is a good start. What was unexpected is that the color response is off and that contrast is high. Details in the alt-text. /1
This is SHD50, EI25 shot in a Nikon FM2 with a Nikon Series E 50mm f/1.8. Shutter was 1/200, XSync setting, and aperture was f/5.6. The photographs were taken on a bright sunny day.
Film was developed in HC110, diluted 1:31 for 5 minutes at about 21C.
This is a negative, it has not been processed to positive.
Two things strike me, 1) The big white rectangle on the left side of the photograph is a gray card. It looks the same as the black square in the bottom left of the color patches on the right side of the image.
2) Red, Green, and Blue patches on the right colunm of the color patches are all very light. This is a color photograph of the test subject for reference.
This photograph was taken with a Pixel 7 'smart' phone.

Inspired by Panchro_Kym, @panchromatic.bsky.social, I took my D750 and three of my Nikon Series E primes out for a walk Saturday. The lenses work well on the D750 and pictures were made.

#crappycommiecameraparty #Zorki1 Yesterday I took the Zorki1 (Leica II clone), with the Industar 22 (ELMAR wannabe) out with a roll of Kodak Gold 200 film. We started the day at the 'Historic Oak View County Park', and I finished the roll of film at home with one of Terri's potted flowers.

#crappycommiecameraparty #FED2 Took the FED2, made in Ukraine, out with a roll of FomaPan 100 made in the Czech Republic on the first day of the Crappy Commie Camera Party 2025. A combination that I use often. The three pictures were made in Wendell, North Carolina. Details in the AltText.

#argus #believeinfilm Here's three pictures that I made with an Argus A2F, a pre-WWII 35mm camera made in Ann Arbor MI. It includes a focusing helix and can focus down to 18 inches. I have not tried that. Arista EDU 100 developed with HC110.
'Grafix Police' is a Volkswagon Beetle owned by 'Grafixhouse Design Studio' in downtown Garner NC. The passenger rear windows is covered in stickers, ones I suspect that Grafixhouse created. FED, Zorki, and Kiev are the names of three series of 35mm rangefinder cameras. I have a FED2 and a Zorki1 and they work fine. I've attached photographs of the cameras below. I have bought from fedka.com/fs/ in the past. The store is based in New York USA as I remember.
FED2 35mm rangefinder camera with a Industar 26m attached. A FED50mm f/3.5 collapsible lens, ELMAR wannabe, is next to it. Both lenses are both 4 elements in 3 groups. Zorki 1 39mm rangefinder with an Industar-22 50mm f/3.5 collapsible lens, ELMAR wannabe, attached,. This is a Russian copy of a Leica II complete with the long leader bottom film loading.

A woman walking south on Main Street in Garner, North Carolina, USA. There's a good coffee shop to the photograph's right. Maybe she was headed to it for a orange blossom latte.
