Honestly, if we WERE gonna get this bigger focus on some individual, named troops in Prime 4 and they wanted to establish that connection thru FF they really should have just nailed down the cast they wanted for 4 and introduced them in FF first. Armstrong the Mech Pilot, Mackenzie the mechanic, etc

I remember back in 2015 Tanabe said it was laying the groundwork for Prime 4 being more focused on the Federation. This ended up only kinda sorta being true? There are definitely elements from FF that find their way into Prime 4, but the main hook of the story is only incidentally about them

Someone pointed out that Metroid Prime Federation Force had it's trademark renewed and while I don't think that means we are getting it in HD or anything, it has made me reflect a little on that weird, kinda shitty game.
