"Curse you spinning jenny, you ruined everything!" A simpleton looking peasant yells as they smash the wooden machine.

The standard narrative goes that LUDDITES were foolish lunatics who, in fear of technology, decided progress was bad, and started hitting it with sticks. (But the truth is entire ways of life were being destroyed.)

Previously, skilled craftsmen were respected for the time and effort it took to do their work. The entire family usit would form a cottage industry - creating something valuable, and command a decent living. But when a machine can work 10 times faster its owner can charge less for the prodcts- craftsmen couldn't compete and were left out of work almost overnight.

And as factories became a fixture of the british landscape, these now unemployed labourers often ended up working the factories that had just destroyed their way of life. Britain was the most prosperous nation in history, factory owners became extremely wealthy and influential. But the people doing the actual work saw almost none of it.

Had a good game of Horus Heresy last night - my Iron Warriors took on a force of Blood Angels which had succumbed to the Black Rage. They recklessly pushed forwards, and although I inflicted much heavier casualties, I also abandoned objectives too early on and lost 08-12. A great game.

A supply yard with a compound becomes the focal point for a major battle, as Blood Angels press a destructive attack against Iron Warriors defenders.

Captain Camenzo, formerly a Blood Angels hero but now a mere berserker in the thrall of the Black Rage, is present at the head of an assault squad.

A line of Iron Havocs take deadly aim with their autocannons, laying down a hail of fire across the right flank.

Warsmith Saradek, in his custom Cataphractii plate, leads a squad of Tyrant Siege Terminators.

"Fiat Justitia" Working on something I probably won't be able to share for a bit so here's a teaser. I promise I still do art sometimes, in spite of everything.

Banner of the Union reformist fighters engaged in the siege of Europa during the Committee Civil War. The URLA was one of numerous militant insurgent groups formed in the wake of the Second Committee’s collapse. Toward the end of the war, they would be formally incorporated into the Third Committee armed forces. For their actions, Whisky would be posthumously recognized as one of the founding armies of the Third Committee.

The banner includes common visual tenets of proto 3rd Committee groups, such as agricultural iconography and the sunrise insignia. The dot on the loop denotes forces deployed to Europa, second major satellite of Jupiter and site of some of the war’s bloodiest fighting.

Latest conversion project - these are Mk 2 Recon Marines for my Dark Angels army. I used the Assault Marine bodies as they're a bit more dynamic and have cool plating on the front. Then Arbites shotguns from the Exaction Squad. Very happy with how they look!

In the confined streets of Vardane City, when the Mordians need fire support, the timely arrival of a mortar is often better than waiting for an Earthshaker mission. This "Longshot"-class mortar half track, in service with the 8th Mordian Artillery's 2nd Company, is an example of such a vehicle.
